designjunction spotlight 2016: Verena Hennig

Published by

designjunction has grown immensely this year with the formal announcement of a brand new hub for creativity in the heart of kings cross - #KXCQ. For London Design Festival, more than 200 contemporary brands, designers, and studios, take home to the area near UAL to come alive with a theme that’s all about immersive design.

We caught up with german-based designer Verena Hennig in the VIP lounge she helped create with her new Roll Collection for designjunction 2016. Tune in to find out her thoughts about the festival, what inspires her, and new trends for 2017.

“I think you always immerse yourself in your design process, because you put so much sweat and blood in there, it takes a long time to really have a good idea, you know when it is a good idea because it sticks with you even over many years.”

A rising star, Verena specializes in combining the fields of art, architecture and design in her work. She uses the studio to investigate questions of human life and strives to engage her customers and audiences in new ways. The Roll Collection, the chairs we were sitting in, are a perfect example of this where two strangers can connect over a shared experience. We can’t wait to see more from her.
